Overview
MPL Music Publishing is not home to just any old band on the run. The music publishing company founded and owned by ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. The firm controls the rights to thousands of songs, including classics by Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Frank Loesser, and, of course, Sir McCartney himself. (The Beatles catalogue, however, is owned by Sony/ATV Music Publishing.) MPL was formed following the breakup of The Beatles in 1970.
