Alaska Court System
Alaska's state court system is divided between four levels: the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, Superior Court, and District Court. The five justices of the Supreme Court hear final appeals of both criminal and civil matters. The Court of Appeals, where three judges sit, hears criminal appeals.
