One of Canada's largest lumber companies, Canfor mainly produces softwood lumber products from production facilities in Canada and the US; it also offers remanufactured and finger-jointed lumber, engineered wood products, wood chips and pellets, and logs. Each year Canfor is capable of turning out some 6 billion board feet of lumber. It manages woodlands on public lands in British Columbia and Alberta and has annual harvesting rights on more than 15 million cubic meters of timberland. The company also owns a slight majority of Canfor Pulp Products Inc. (CPPI), which produces pulp and kraft paper and accounts for about a quarter of Canfor's sales. The US is the company's largest market.
