Embracing our Communities at Dun & Bradstreet
At Dun & Bradstreet, responsibility is aligned with our values. Our company culture provides a foundation that lets us commit to fostering social and economic development and contributing to the sustainability of the communities in which we all live and operate. We look at responsibility from a number of dimensions – how we support and empower our employees, the way we focus on helping our customers and the way we manage our corporation – all aligned with our core value of inherent generosity.
- We empower our employees to bring corporate citizenship and social responsibility into every aspect of our company.
- For our customer relationships, we are focused on adapting to changing market environments to bring innovation and insight that allows them to protect, grow and empower their businesses.
- For our shareholders, we are committed to delivering on our commitments and operating with transparency and integrity.
#DoGood Week 2015
In July 2015, Dun & Bradstreet held our inaugural Do Good Week in celebration of our 174th anniversary, and 31 company locations across 13 countries participated in the 137 Do Good Week events. More than 1,800 employees participated, donating more than 5,200 hours of service. Locations big and small put their own twist on the event, with participation from Austin, which held an open house to demonstrate ways to be inherently generous, to India, which put on a carnival to raise money for Nanhi Kali, an organization that promotes education for girls.
Dun & Bradstreet strives to protect the environment in the communities where we operate. We recognize our responsibility to protect human health, the environment and natural resources, and seek to operate in full compliance with all of the environmental laws and standards that apply to us.
People are the cornerstone of our business. Our continued success depends largely on our ability to attract and develop a diverse work force of qualified men and women. We are committed to providing a work environment that fosters respect for all employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, consultants and other business partners and that reflects the diversity of the communities in which we operate.
Dun & Bradstreet's approach to corporate citizenship is to integrate it into every aspect of our company, with focus on initiatives involving our communities and the development of our global economy in a way that allows us to make an impact on the world around us. It has enabled us to be recognized repeatedly as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies. Visit our Corporate Governance page for more information.
