HSBC and Dun & Bradstreet have entered in to a multi-year global enterprise agreement for customer reference data.
The Wholesale CDAO team has undertaken a strategic project to ingest the full universe of Dun & Bradstreet Data (420 million companies) into GCP for internal consumption and referencing. In addition the agreement covers end user webtool solutions:
- D&B Hoovers (Sales & Marketing use cases)
- D&B Onboard (Compliance use cases)
- D&B Credit (Credit Risk use cases)
Importantly, the Enterprise Agreement removes the inherent limitations of transactional contracts for using external data, and enables unlimited access of the webtools and data. The intention is for regions and lines of business to be able to actively use and consume Dun & Bradstreet data wherever it is required, with NO user limits and NO usage limits.
The intention is for HSBC to standardise on Dun & Bradstreet data and adopt the D-U-N-S Number as a bank wide standard to pin & match internal/external data to. Utilising the Dun & Bradstreet Data Cloud, HSBC can address complex challenges around Compliance – understanding UBO structures, Procurement – understanding and aiding vendor onboarding/due diligence, Sales Growth – understanding the firmographic information available. Standardising will ensure the bank removes duplication of business data around the globe and provide a consistency across the customer journey.
Using Dun & Bradstreet data, HSBC can realise efficiency through workflow automation, and removing manual tasks & processes. HSBC can also use the data for innovation use cases, Dun & Bradstreet Data can be integrated into many technology stacks – Microsoft, Adobe, Salesforce, SAP.
