Overview
Provides you with access to Beneficial Owners for Swedish companies. A beneficial owner is someone who ultimately owns or controls a company, association or other type of legal entity. A beneficial owner can also be someone who benefits from someone else acting on their behalf. The source for the data is the Swedish Company Registration Office (Bolagsverket) and their register for Beneficial Owners.
Authentication
To use the Bisnode Company Online - v1 REST API, you need a client ID and a secret. Bisnode uses OAuth2 for authentication. More information

How to use the API
This guide is intended to help you get going with your integration against the Bisnode Company Online API. It serves as a complement to the Endpoint Reference and aims to bring a high level understanding of the key concepts of the service and the data delivered.
Request
There are two ways to request information:
- "Search“ (searchCompany) – find out Beneficial Owners for a certain company
- "Search“ (searchPersons) – find out what companies a certain person is Beneficial Owner of
Language module Swedish or English
The API have two alternatives for select language in the answers. See Termes and codes.
API answers
Suspicion of uncertain or incorrect information
If there is a suspicion of incorrect information, the label “true” is in the field “isUncertain”. The answer can be “true” or “false”.
If there is a suspicion of incorrect information, the label “true” is in the field “isIncorrect”. The answer can be “true” or “false”. In this case, earlier registered information is erased and no more information is delivered from Bolagsverket.
Different answers can occur.
- “There are one or more beneficial owners” This means that the company has identified and registered information about beneficial owners to Swedish Company Registration Office, Bolagsverket.
- “There is no beneficial owner” or “The company or the association cannot identify if there are any beneficial owners or do not have the information to identify any beneficial owner”. *
- The search gave no result. **
- Incorrect information is registered. ***
* Date are registered in alternative 3.
** Date are not registered in alternative 4.
*** Field isUncertain is true.
NOTICE! In answer 1-2 field isUncertain can be “true”.
