Overview
With Bisnode Vehicle Data Finder You get live data from the official Road Traffic Registry (Transportstyrelsen) in Sweden*.
The API contains data for all registered vehicles (more than 10,4 million), vehicle owners and driving licenses in Sweden.
There is no sandbox environment available for testing in Vehicle Data Finder. To test the API, you will have to use the production environment. Therefore a permission from Transportstyrelsen is required to access the service, even for testing purposes.

Key Features
License plate number
Company-ID
Get data by searching with license plate number.
By searching with license plate number, You get data for any type of vehicle. There are 11 different operations that can be used to get the data You need. All registered vehicles are available and You can search with any of these license plate-formats:
- Classic license plate number, e.g ABC123
- Personal license plate number, e.g TAXI55
- License plate with format used from 2019, e.g MLB80A
Vehicle Identification Number (“VIN”)
Get data by searching with Vehicle Identification Number (“VIN”)
By searching with VIN, You can identify any type of vehicle. The license plate number that is registered for the VIN is included in the response, enabling You to get more data by using that in a new query.

Get data by searching with company-ID
By searching with company-ID (“organisationsnummer”), You get vehicles owned or used by the company.
Driving license-number
Get data by searching with driving license-number
By sending a query containing driver license-number and the "valid to-date" (both can be found on the driving license), You can check it´s status and if it has been reported as lost to Transportstyrelsen.

By searching with social security number, You get vehicles owned or used by the person.
