Overview
Nordic RGS Decisioning in 2 minutes
With Nordic RGS Decisioning you can:
- automate your risk assessments and credit applications
- say yes to more customers
- improve the response time to your customers, with an immediate yes or no
- spend your internal administration and assessment time where it matters, not on cases that can be automated
- analyze the applicants and identify the most profitable customers
- minimize human errors and ensure that your policies are always and automatically followed
- ensure embedded logging, archiving and traceability on all cases
- have one single service for the different steps of your customer onboarding instead of connecting to many suppliers and services
Get started
- a user/Bisnode ID
- a rulesetKey (the key to the ruleset you want to send the subject through in the application process)
- Sandbox API key (need to be logged in with your Bisnode ID or GitHub account) to try out the service in sandbox environment.
Authentication
To use the Nordic RGS Decisioning Service, you need a client ID and a secret. D&B uses OAuth2 for authentication. You can find more information about the authentication process here. Please note that Nordic RGS Decisioning does not support Self Service for creating API clients.
Always use the production URL https://login.bisnode.com/as/token.oauth2 for both testing and production use of Nordic RGS Decisioning.
For testing use prod-test and scope: rgs-decision-test
This guide is intended to help you get going with your integration against the Risk Decisioning Service API. It serves as a complement to the Endpoint Reference and aims to bring a high level understanding of the key concepts of the platform.
For questions and support, please contact D&B at api-support@bisnode.com

Key Features
Modules
As you may have different business channels, credit types and risks on your customers you can have different rulesets for different purposes. Choose from a selection of modules what data to consider in each ruleset.
Modules on private persons:
- Basic Data - name, address, age, statuses and blockers
- Credit Data - scoring, payment remarks, debt balance, tax assessment data etc.
- Credits Overview Data - granted and utilized credits on Finnish and Swedish persons. (Availability limited to suppliers of data in the bank and finance industry, with a specific permission)
- Compliance Data - AML-screening towards PEP and sanctions lists.
- Bank Data - transactions data from the applicants bank accounts through PSD2. The applicant grants access with secure identification. See more details here
- Your own input data - e.g. data needed for an affordability calculation.
- Affordability calculation - a customized module using both D&B data, debt data from external sources and your own data to make an automated affordability calculation for the applied amount. Available on Norwegian private persons. The calculation model is customized in collaboration between D&B and you as a customer. When the model is confirmed you will receive your specification of input and output.
Modules on companies:
- Basic Data - name, address, legal form, NACE (SNI), statuses and blockers
- Credit Data - rating, scoring, paydex, payment remarks, debt balance, key figures, annual report etc.
Decision
You provide a national identification number (SSN or registration number or D-U-N-S-nr) in the call to the decision service.
D&B collects all the data and makes sure that the modules and rules that you have selected are processed. In return you get a Decision: Approve/Decline/Pending
If you have a ruleset calculating an approved limit or other outcomes, e.g. interest, these outcomes will be added to the response.
Reasons behind the final decision are also provided, as well as other vital data used in the process.
Background data
You can fetch all the details in the datasets behind each module in a background data call.
The decision data and the background data are separated into two calls to improve response time.
Archive
Your decisions with details on outcomes and reasons, as well as all the background data used in the decision is archived and available for your further needs for investigations or overrides.
Ways of processing a decision
- All-in-one process - the most common process. All rules and data are always processed and you get a complete overview as well as full data for future analysis.
- Modular process - the process can be set to stop after a module has resulted in Decline. Cost saving and using less data, but also resulting in less data available for investigations, overrides and analytics.
Subjects
- Private individuals in all Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden
- Companies in all Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden
Delivery channels
Risk Decisioning is available through API as well as in the RiskGuardian web interface.
Information
There are local differences in which modules and data that are available in each country
