Swedish oil refining, Saudi ownership. Preem, the largest oil refining company in Sweden, operates two refineries and a network of about 600 service stations nationwide. Its refineries, Preemraff Lysekil and Preemraff Gothenburg, process 18 million tons of oil annually, making Preem the largest refiner in the Nordic region. The refining and marketing company purchases about 50% of its crude oil supply from the North Sea and 47% from Russia. It exports about two-thirds of its refined products. Preem is controlled by Saudi Arabian investor Mohammed Ali Al-Amoudi.
