Japan Airlines (JAL) is Japan's flag-carrier airline. It has more than 125 domestic and some 60 international routes on a fleet comprising nearly 240 large, medium, small, and regional aircraft, mainly Boeings. JAL also serves some 80 destination across 30 countries and regions via its membership of the Oneworld global marketing alliance, which counts among its members AMR's American Airlines, and British Airways and Cathay Pacific. Besides its scheduled passenger services, which account for 70% of sales, JAL carries air cargo, provides maintenance and ground-support services for airlines, sells packed tours, and provides credit cards. JAL was established in 1951.
