GS Caltex operates the world's fourth largest oil refinery oil refinery with daily capacities of some 800,000 barrels at oil refining facilities and more than 270,000 barrels at heavy oil upgrading (HOU) facility. The company produce a range of petroleum products, including gasoline and kerosene as well as nearly 3 million tons of benzene, toluene, xylene, and other aromatics. GS Caltex process crude oil imports into petroleum products which are exported around the world. The company shipped to about 2,400 service stations, some 400 filling stations, various factories, and railway and airline operators. GS Caltex was set up in 1967 as a joint venture of Lucky Ltd. (a predecessor of Korea's LG Group) and Caltex. The company generates nearly 80% of total sales from Korea.
