Good Samaritan Hospital provides a full slate of healthcare services to both southwest Indiana and southeast Illinois. Its services include cardiology, emergency care, orthopedics, women's health, and pediatrics, among others. The 230-bed hospital is located a few blocks from the Wabash River, which forms the border between the Hoosier and Prairies states. Good Samaritan operates specialty units, as well, including same-day surgery, breast care, behavioral health, radiology, sleep, cancer care, and rehabilitation centers. It also provides home health and hospice services. Established in 1908 with 25 beds, Good Samaritan was Indiana's first county hospital.
