Supply Management

Supplier Risk Manager - Assessments Module

Evaluate supplier performance & quality

Challenge: Solely relying on supplier pricing and terms of sale for contract awards ignores an equally important element of the relationship – supplier performance. Without making either a financial commitment or doing an extensive audit of a supplier’s site, how can you minimize supplier performance risks?

Solution: With the Assessments Module, you can gather more information about a supplier’s performance including supplier’s lean manufacturing, quality and supply base management practices using a gap analysis methodology that compares the supplier against industry best practices. The analysis allows you to compare potential suppliers to each other in advance of contract awards, as well as to assess root causes for ongoing supplier performance problems.

Bottom line: You'll save time and money by conducting detailed Assessments more thoroughly and efficiently to help you mitigate risk.

Eliminate inefficiencies in Assessment initiatives

With increased demands on your time, it’s neither practical nor economical to conduct onsite Assessments with all of your key suppliers. The Assessments Module allows you to perform supplier assessments virtually, using a broad range of inputs. This helps to eliminate the inefficiencies typically found in supply base Assessment initiatives, and frees up your time to focus on supplier improvement activities. Assessment questions are grouped by themes called “Factors.” Each question is scored and the scores are rolled up into a Factor score. Finally, each Factor score is evaluated against a perfect score and displayed graphically. What’s more, you’ll receive a Web-based report on the status of Assessments, allowing you to easily check on the status of supplier-requested Assessments over a given time period.
